Local News in Brief : Fire Victims Offered Information on Loans
Porter Ranch residents who suffered property damage in last December’s wildfires can attend informational sessions today and Friday to learn how to apply for federal low-interest loans.
Homeowners, tenants and business owners may be eligible for Small Business Administration loans to replace uninsured or under-insured property lost in the fire.
Eligible people may receive loans up to $100,000 for loss of buildings or land and up to $20,000 for personal property losses. Loan interest rates are 4% and 8%.
The information sessions will be held from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. today at the Northridge Recreation Center, 18300 Lemarsh St. The hours Friday will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
