Local News in Brief : Driver Killed in Car’s Plunge Off Freeway
Aman was killed when he drove off the Foothill Freeway and plunged onto Van Nuys Boulevard in Lake View Terrace, the California Highway Patrol reported Thursday.
The 25-year-old La Canada man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was killed at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday when his eastbound car drifted to the right shoulder of the freeway, hit a guard rail and became airborne before landing on the boulevard below, officials said.
There were no other injuries. Officer Linda Powell said the CHP does not know why the car went off the freeway, and an autopsy is scheduled.
