Digging a Ditch at the Border

I am astounded by the negative reaction to the ditch to be built along our southern border. Immigrant activists act like it is a right of aliens to cross our border illegally. It is not, it is against the law. This year the United States will allow in 680,000 legal immigrants and refugees. Considering our already overcrowded cities, congested freeways and overtaxed social welfare system, this is more than generous. We do not need millions of more poor people. True, this country was built by immigrants, but times have changed. We no longer have wide-open frontiers to settle. We should address the problems of our own poor and homeless first.

The only problem with the ditch is that it will not work. The only solution is to have the military patrol the border. We are a sovereign nation and have the right to protect our borders.
