Males, Not Females, Should Make an Issue of the Swimsuit Issues
It’s refreshing to see a writer take a stand on the swimsuit issues in sport magazines.
But I’m afraid that Mike Downey is addressing the wrong sex in his column (Jan. 30). As much as women may protest to these magazines, their publishers know which sex buys the most copies. When those men who want sports, not skin, in their sports magazines make this known to the publishers, then and only then will you see the demise of the swimsuit issue.
