Grace Community 90, Clearview 38--Anthony Serra scored a game-high 28 points and Chad Hankinson added 24 as the Hawks (15-4, 10-1) advanced to the second round of the Westside League tournament at Grace Community.

Ken Pierce scored 24 points for Clearview (3-14, 0-11) but was the only player to score in double figures.

Highland Hall 55, Oak Hill 52--Robert Ramirez scored 27 points and Seth Antonacci added 12 for Highland Hall in a first-round win in the Westside League tournament at Grace Community. Phil Freed had 25 points and 19 rebounds for Oak Hill, which ended the season 8-9.

Coast Christian 53, L.A. Lutheran 32--Earl Rhodes scored 22 points as Coast Christian ran past Lutheran in a Heritage League match-up.

Steve Luce, Randy Johnson and Aaron Banks each scored 10 for the Saints. Trevor Earle scored 18 points for L. A. Lutheran (6-14).

Providence 53, Holy Martyrs 32--Sophomore guard Bret Farrante had a career-high 16 points on eight-for-eight shooting to lead Providence in a nonleague game at home.

Teammate Ben Tahouri made all seven of his shots and grabbed 15 rebounds.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Camarillo 75, Newbury Park 60--Nichole Victoria scored 33 points and Angie Long added 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Scorpions in a Marmonte League game at Camarillo.

Marlo Cormier had 17 points and sisters Karen and Kym Hagemann added 16 and 15 for Newbury Park.

Campbell Hall 55, Faith Baptist 53--Jeanelle Meskimen made good on a three-point play with two minutes to play to give the Vikings the victory in a Delphic League game at Faith Baptist.

Chaminade 53, Notre Dame 51--Sue Frink made two free throws with 16 seconds to play to give the Eagles a win in a San Fernando Valley League game at Chaminade. Pam Powers scored 12 points and Kim Gutierrez added 11 for the Eagles (6-14, 2-8).

Chrissi Burnap (22 points) carried the bulk of the Notre Dame offense.

Alemany 57, St. Genevieve 32--Ann Sasadeusz scored 16 points and Sylvia Casteneda added 14 to pace the Indians in a San Fernando Valley League game at St. Genevieve.

L.A. Lutheran 27, Coast Christian 4--Lucia Islas scored a game-high 12 points to lead the Lions in a Heritage League game at L. A. Lutheran.

L.A. Baptist 54, Western Christian 47--Jill Shackelford scored 19 points and had 12 rebounds and five assists to lead L.A. Baptist in an Alpha League game.

Kristin Heerema added 13 points and 16 rebounds for L.A. Baptist as the Knights won their first Alpha League championship with a 7-3 league record, 16-7 overall.

WRESTLING

EL Camino Real 69, Chatsworth 6--El Camino Real raised its overall record to 27-3 and captured the Valley League championship by burying Chatsworth at home.

Greg McMurray improved his record in the 112-pound class to 31-2 with a pin at the 3:34 mark. Scott Spindel improved his mark to 25-7 with a technical fall. El Camino Real finished 5-0 in league matches.
