Kevin Williams to Have Surgery

Kevin Williams, a reserve guard on the UCLA basketball team, will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove torn cartilage in his left knee today and probably will be lost to the Bruins for the rest of the regular season.

Williams, a former starter who averaged 2.6 points a game, could possibly return in time for the Pacific 10 Conference tournament March 9-12 at the Forum.
