The two-story frame house where bandleader Glenn Miller was born will be turned into a museum by his daughter, Jonnie Soper of La Jolla. Soper’s purchase of the Clarinda, Iowa, house is expected to be final on Wednesday, the 85th anniversary of Miller’s birth. In addition to the museum, Soper is considering creating a foundation to provide music scholarships and instruments for needy students. The Glenn Miller Birthplace Society hopes to refurnish the house in period style.
