IN BRIEF : Packers Reach Deal With Bartlett
The Green Bay Packers announced today that they have reached a contract agreement with nose tackle Doug Bartlett, an unprotected free agent who played last season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 6-foot, 2-inch, 257-pound Bartlett played 10 games on special teams and in short-yardage defensive situations for the Eagles last year.
Bartlett, 25, who played college football at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams on the fourth round in 1987 but spent that season on injured reserve before being cut last September and signed by the Eagles.
