Fullerton Plays for Tournament Position
Cal State Fullerton will try to maintain or improve on fifth place in the Big West Conference tonight when it takes on second-place New Mexico State at 6:30 in the Pan American Center.
Fullerton (14-11 overall, 9-7 in the conference) also can assure a winning season with a victory. New Mexico State (18-8, 11-5) beat the Titans, 65-60, in January.
The Titans, along with Utah State, UC Irvine and Fresno State, are trying to stay out of seventh and eighth places in the conference, thereby getting a bye in the first round of next week’s conference tournament.
