Culver City : Study of Building Site

Share

The Redevelopment Agency authorized an architectural planning company to prepare a detailed study of a site at 5168 Sepulveda Blvd., where the agency is considering plans for a senior citizens housing development.

A proposed site study submitted by the firm Kurt Meyer Partners calls for a maximum of 50 units with 50 parking spaces at a two-story building that may be increased to three stories.

The agency is seeking financing from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and has already received applications from five nonprofit organizations interested in building the project at the old Liberty Tire site.

Several homeowners who live near the proposed site expressed concerns during the meeting that the project might overshadow their property if allowed to reach three stories.
