Letterman’s List

I was offended by your printing of “David Letterman’s 10 Duties for Japan’s New Emperor” (Morning Report, March 6). I’m sure that Letterman’s dry delivery made the list sound harmless and fun on his TV show. But in print, such remarks are racist, an insult to Japanese and beneath The Times.
