Benoit Benjamin matched his season high with 29 points and added 11 rebounds as the Clippers snapped a 20-game road losing streak with a 115-103 victory over San Antonio Monday night.

Clipper Coach Don Casey was thrilled the victory, which came on the heels of a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday in Los Angeles.

“We’ve had these little goals and (ending the road streak) was one of them,” Casey said. “These kids have worked hard. I guess our shooters just do well here. This is a good win.”

Rookie Gary Grant added a career-best 23 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, who had not won on the road since Dec. 23, when they beat the Spurs, 114-108. Los Angeles is 3-33 away from home, with their other victory at Miami.

Ken Norman added 19 points for the Clippers, and Reggie Williams scored 16. Willie Anderson scored 20 points for San Antonio, and Alvin Robertson added 18.

Benjamin scored seven points as the Clippers ran off eight in a row for a 69-57 lead late in the third quarter. The lead grew to 14 later in the period, and eventually reached 18 midway through the fourth quarter.

San Antonio was unable to get closer than 10 the rest of the way, and the Clippers had their second straight win after losing 32 of 33.
