In Defense of a ‘Homemaker From the Midwest’

Share

Six years ago, my husband and I chose to remove the TV from our home when our children were young, encouraging them to read more and to listen to old classics on the radio instead.

We recently brought the TV back into the house. However, after watching “Married . . .” three or four times and other programs such as “Alf,” we agree with Kenneth L. Zimmerman (Letters, March 12) that here is something we can do about programming we feel is distasteful. . . . The TV is back in the garage.
