The 39th Annual Eddie Awards for cinema editors was held this weekend at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with a tie vote for best editing of a feature motion picture shared by Gerry Hambling for “Mississippi Burning” and Stu Linder for “Rain Man.” “Thirtysomething” editors Victor DuBois and Steven Rosenbloom won best editing of an episode from a television series. Career achievement awards were presented to Warren Low for a career that began more than 50 years ago and earned him four Academy Award nominations, and to Dorothy Spencer, whose first feature editing credit was in 1929 and who has also been nominated for four Oscars.
