I’m shocked to see the omission of theater ticket takers and video clerks from the list of collaborators (directors, cinematographers, art directors, editors and actors) constituting “authorship” of a film as recommended to the House Judiciary Committee by the U.S. Copyright Office.
After all, if these folks weren’t there to tear the tickets in half or computer-scan the rentals, how would movies ever be seen at all?
