12 Hurt as Car Crashes Through Market Window
From Associated Press
WEST ORANGE, N.J. — A car driven by an 80-year-old man smashed through a glass window in a crowded supermarket Saturday, injuring at least 12 people before it came to a halt at a cash register counter, authorities said.
At least three cashiers at the Pathmark store were hurt, including a woman who suffered back and internal injuries, police said.
The driver, whose identity was not released, apparently lost control of his car, officers said. He was listed in stable condition at a Montclair hospital.
