Gang Links Cited in Slaying of 2 at Southeast Party

Two men were fatally shot Tuesday night and a third wounded when two gunmen opened fire at a party in Southeast San Diego. Police said known gang members were at the party.

The gunmen were about 75 feet away when they shot at a group of about 20 people in front of a residence in the 700 block of Pyramid Street just before 10 p.m. They then fled on foot, homicide Sgt. Frank Martinez said.

Brisco Tyrone Black, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Edward Anthony Daniels, 18, died about an hour after being rushed to Mercy Hospital.

Eric Hill, 21, was shot in the foot and was treated and released at San Diego Physicians & Surgeons Hospital. None of the three men is a known gang member, Martinez said.
