Fresno police arrested a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old playmate. Detectives said they arrested the 13-year-old after discovering that he stole the gun that went off accidentally in an apartment, killing Robert Salcido Jr. Before finding out that the boy stole the gun, police ruled the shooting accidental. In addition to the involuntary manslaughter charge, the 13-year-old was charged with theft of a firearm and possession of stolen property. Salcido was fatally wounded when the 13-year-old was trying to unload the pistol and it went off, officers said.
