IN BRIEF : American Marathon Team Named
Four men and four women have been selected to represent the United States at the International Amateur Athletic Federation World Cup marathon at Milan, Italy, next week.
The men’s roster consists of Jim Hage of Lanham, Md.; Gary Gargasz, Volant, Pa.; Chriss James, Salt Lake City, and Bob Hensley, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
The women chosen were Sue Marchiano, Henderson, Nev.; Jane Welzel, Northeastern, Mass.; Gordon Bloch, New York, and Charlotte Thomas, San Diego.
The women’s race will be held April 15 and the men’s event April 16.
