Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons will miss up to three weeks because of a broken finger suffered in a fight that prompted his two-game suspension.
Thomas, ejected with the Chicago Bulls’ Bill Cartwright in the first quarter of the Pistons’ 114-112 overtime victory Friday, was examined Sunday at Harper Grace Hospital, Pistons spokesman Matt Dobek said.
“Isiah does have a fracture of his second metacarpal, which is a bone right above his left index finger. The swelling still has not gone down. So they’re going to re-examine him on Wednesday,” Dobek said.
