Madonna has no real competition on the Billboard pop charts right now. Both her “Like a Prayer” album and the title single continue to commandingly lead the pop charts. Two of the fastest-rising new albums are W.A.S.P.’s “The Headless Children”--No. 48 after two weeks--and the Cult’s “Sonic Temple,” which entered the chart impressively at No. 46. Living Colour’s “Vivid” is back in the Top 10, jumping four places to No. 7. “Vivid,” which has just passed the 1-million-units-sold mark, is on the rise again because of the group’s single, “Cult of Personality”--No. 17--is so hot.

* Look out for Roxette, whose recent No. 1 pop single, “The Look,” has given its album, “Look Sharp!,” a mighty boost--lifting it from No. 95 to No. 36 in its second week on the chart.
