Orange County All-Star Football Game : Trabuco Hills’ Lowery Heads South Selections

Quarterback David Lowery of Trabuco Hills High School, the Southern Section’s Division VIII player of the year last fall, heads the list of players named to the South team that will participate in the 30th Orange County All-Star football game June 30 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Lowery passed for 3,325 yards in 14 games to lead Trabuco Hills to the Division VIII championship in only its fourth year of existence. He has signed a national letter of intent to play football at San Diego State next season.

Fountain Valley, which won the Southern Section’s Division I title, has three players on the team--quarterback David Henigan, wide receiver Mike Cook and center Glenn Christy.

South Coach Dave Holland of Corona del Mar said his 36-man team will begin practice on June 19 in preparation for the game, which will benefit four county charities.
