“It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears, it’s a world of hopes and a world of fears. There’s so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware, it’s a Small World after all....” Twenty-five years ago today, Walt Disney’s miniature, musical, multicultural children began cheerily singing “It’s a Small World After All.” The attraction made its debut at the 1964-65 New York’s World Fair, then was moved to Disneyland in a revised and enlarged form. More than 305 million guests have taken trips around the world via the “It’s a Small World” attractions, which are not only at Disneyland in California but also at Walt Disney World in Florida and Tokyo Disneyland. In numbers of people, the ride is rivaled only by Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
