IN BRIEF : Colts Sign Spartans’ Andre Rison
The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing today of first-round draft pick Andre Rison, just nine days after the NFL draft.
Rison, the 22nd pick overall in the April 23 draft, is a 5-foot, 10-inch, 185-pound wide receiver out of Michigan State.
He left Michigan State as the school’s all-time leader with 146 catches for 2,992 receiving yards.
During the 1988 regular season, he was 30 for 709. Then he caught nine passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns in the Gator Bowl and four for 77 yards and three touchdowns in the all-star Hula Bowl.
