They Want the Facts

I belong to three service clubs. At a recent meeting of one of them, a member expressed his opinion regarding TV news commentators who discuss the events of the day among themselves before presenting the news to the viewers. We took a poll among the 60 members present, and 96% (supported a) return to the old way of having the commentators face the audience and present the news without all their personal comments and laughter.

I presented the same issue to the other two clubs, and the votes were unanimous for returning to the old way of presenting the news.

It would be interesting if the networks would conduct such a survey. Returning to the old way of presenting the news just may be the ticket to higher ratings.
