Lucy Gutteridge plays mother Eve and Courteney Cox and Mia Sara portray daughters Freddy and Delphine in “Till We Meet Again,” a five-hour miniseries for CBS based on the novel by Judith Krantz. Also starring in the drama, to be seen next season, are Bruce Boxleitner, Barry Bost-wick and Michael York.

Ted Turner is taking his interest in environmental TV programming a step further. He has commissioned an animated series from DIC Enterprises called “Captain Planet” about a superhero who fights ecological problems with the aid of five children. The series, which doesn’t have an air date yet on Turner’s TBS cable channel, will deal with such problems as acid rain and overpopulation.

Garfield is coming back to CBS in a new animated special, cast this time as a private detective named Sam Spayed. A parody of 1940s-era detective films, “Garfield’s Babes and Bullets” is due to air May 23. Lorenzo Music again will provide the famous cat’s voice.

MCA-TV, having had good luck in reviving “Leave It to Beaver” and “The Munsters,” is bringing back several more old-timers. Coming in the fall will be new versions of “Lassie,” “Adam-12” and “Dragnet.”
