Hoping to enlist the public's help in nabbing bank robbers, Los Angeles police released photos Wednesday of 12 people they identified as the city's most-wanted bank robbery suspects.

The pictures were taken by bank surveillance cameras during what police said were only a handful of the 181 robberies of banks and lending institutions in Los Angeles this year. The robberies represent a 13% increase over the same period last year, police said.

Anyone able to identify any of the following suspects should contact the Police Department.
