Chula Vista
A 37-year-old Tijuana man was electrocuted Friday when he touched an exposed transformer box in Chula Vista where workers were razing a building, authorities said.
Eduardo Vargas Vargas touched an electronic control panel, for an unknown reason, about 1 p.m. on a lot in the 100 block of Mace Street, Deputy Coroner Leard Hillbrand said.
The workman died about two hours later at Chula Vista Community Hospital, Hillbrand said.
