Paramount Jet Wins Feature at Hollywood

Paramount Jet, under Alex Solis, caught the leader with less than a furlong to go and went on to win the $32,000 feature by three-quarters of a length Wednesday at Hollywood Park.

Even-money favorite Sabulose, with Corey Nakatani aboard, finished second, nine lengths in front of Sure Swift, ridden by Gary Stevens, in a field of seven.

The winner covered one mile over a fast track in 1:34 1/5 and earned $17,600. It was the colt’s second victory in six starts this year and boosted his career earnings to $102,450.

Paramount Jet paid $25.60, $7.40 and $3.80. Sabulose, who won the Debonair Stakes on Hollywood Park’s opening day, returned $3 and $2.40. Sure Swift paid $2.80.
