Daughter of Babe Ruth Dies in Connecticut

DURHAM, Conn. —
Dorothy Ruth Pirone, the daughter of baseball’s Babe Ruth, died at home Thursday of natural causes. She was 68 years old. Pirone lived for more than a dozen years in Durham, where she raised Arabian horses.
Pirone, wife of the late Dominick L. Pirone, is survived by four daughters, one son and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a second son.
Ruth died in 1948 at the age of 53.
