Dominguez Hills 12th in NCAA Golf
Cal State Dominguez Hills faltered a bit in the final round of the NCAA Division II golf championship Friday and completed the four-day tournament in 12th place
Enrico Montano shot a 79 and Ray Fawcett had an 81 over the final 18 holes at the par-72 Lake View Country Club. Montano’s 72&hole; total of 310 was the best the Toros could do, but it fell 16 strokes off the individual title pace set by Brian Dixon from Columbus College of Georgia. Fawcett totaled 314.
Columbus won the team title with a score of 1,196. Dominguez Hills, which finished seventh in the tournament in 1985, shot 1,250. Cal State Northridge, a member, along with Dominguez Hills of the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. finished third.
