Redondo Council Sets Preservation Hearing

Share

The Redondo Beach City Council has set a July 18 public hearing on two proposed historical preservation ordinances designed to save the city’s oldest homes from demolition. One would rely on tax incentives and other financial measures to encourage voluntary preservation. The other would give the city more authority over houses deemed historically significant.

Proponents of preservation have been trying since 1984 to get a law enacted that would save some of the city’s remaining old homes.
