The Chicago Cubs activated outfielder Andre Dawson and put first baseman Mark Grace on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 5.
Dawson had arthroscopic surgery to remove torn cartilage from his right knee May 11. Grace has been out since suffering a shoulder separation June 4 at St. Louis.
