Outfielder Deion Sanders, who was sent to the minors last Sunday after playing nine games with the New York Yankees, will report to tripe-A Columbus, Ohio, of the International League after negotiating with the Atlanta Falcons, Yankee Vice President Bob Quinn said.
An All-American cornerback at Florida State, Sanders was picked in the first round by the Falcons in the 1989 NFL draft. He was the Yankees’ 30th-round choice in the 1988 free-agent draft.
