Charboneau Gives Indian Old-Timers 3-2 Win
“Super Joe” Charboneau singled home John (Boog) Powell with the winning run with two outs in the third inning to give the Cleveland Indians’ Old-Timers a 3-2 victory over the Equitable All-Star Old-Timers Saturday.
The three-inning game matched former Indians against other ex-major leaguers in an “all-nickname” contest before the game between the current Indians and Kansas City Royals.
Bill (Spaceman) Lee drove in both runs for the Equitable all-stars with a second-inning triple.
Al (The Mad Hungarian) Hrabosky took the loss. Steve (Stunning) Dunning gained the victory.
