Pasadena : City Manager to Step Down

Share

City Manager Donald F. McIntyre, who has held Pasadena’s top post for 16 years, has announced he will step down next year.

McIntyre, 59, who will have been a city employee for 30 years, has survived at the helm despite numerous shifts in the city’s political makeup.

The Board of Directors on Tuesday approved a recruitment schedule that calls for a successor to be picked by next May. A citizens panel will be formed and two public hearings will be held to encourage community participation before filling the $109,453-a-year post.
