A San Diego businessman was killed at his car wash shortly before 8:50 a.m. Monday, police said.

Carlos Maceda, 38, owner of the Las Paraguas car wash at 127 27th St., was found slumped in a car on the property, shot twice with a .38-caliber pistol, according to police. He was pronounced dead at UC San Diego Medical Center.

Police are looking for a man who they say may have walked away from the scene and sped off in a late-model red Chevrolet Nova parked a block away. He is described as Latino, 28 to 32 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet, thin, with short curly hair and wearing a green military field jacket and jeans.
