The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders who quit last week over proposed uniform and policy changes have returned after a meeting with Jerry Jones, the team’s new owner.

The 14 veteran members of the group had resigned, saying that Jones wanted them to fraternize with the players and wear more revealing costumes. In returning, they said they had been assured by Jones that the former policies would not change.

Leslie Haynes, the cheerleader squad’s director, said that the organization could not have survived without the 14 veterans because they provided leadership and served as role models for the rookies.
