Santa Monica : Outstanding Educators

Seven Santa Monica College instructors have been named Outstanding Educators by the Academic Senate’s professional committee.
The honored instructors for the 1988-89 academic year are Joan Barker, anthropology; Anna Biller, physical education; Dick Dodge, English; Alan Jon, cosmetology; Don Murray, mathematics; LeDonna Shouse, interior design, and Mary Jane Weil, disabled students counseling.
Nominations for the awards were made by students and faculty members, and selections were made by a committee of students and instructors in each academic division.
Winners of the awards receive $250 from the Academic Senate and a $250 voucher from the college to be used toward purchase of educational materials or conference attendance.
