The Rolling Stones are hoping to find satisfaction in a converted boarding school for girls in a rustic Connecticut town. That’s where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts will rehearse for their tour, which is scheduled to start in September. The Wykeham Rise School in Washington, Conn., had a sound system installed this week, and there were reports that rental contracts are being drawn up for three area houses for the band members and the vacant Mayflower Inn, where the band’s entourage would be housed. Officials in Washington, an affluent town about 20 miles northeast of Danbury with a population of about 4,000, say the locals won’t be awed by the Stones’ presence because such notables as Henry Kissinger, Susan Saint James and Dustin Hoffman live nearby. Actress Marilyn Monroe lived in the neighboring town of Roxbury when she was married to playwright Arthur Miller. “They’re used to celebrities,” said State Trooper Ron Dorazio. Dorazio said he expected the band to arrive within the next two weeks.
