The U.S. men’s volleyball team defeated Guatemala, 15-2, 15-2, 15-6, and the U.S. women’s team beat Haiti, 15-1, 15-0, 15-1, in the North and Central American and Caribbean zone championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The zone champions will qualify for next year’s world championships, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro for the men and in China for the women.
