Eleven men and two women were arrested Thursday night in Ocean Beach during unrelated drug busts by undercover detectives of the San Diego Police Department’s narcotics division.
Narcotics detectives purchased undisclosed quantities of marijuana, amphetamines and LSD from local residents and transients in a four-hour operation called the “Buy Bust,” police spokesman Bill Robinson said. The busts took place in the 5000 block of Newport Avenue, the 5000 block of Narragansett and the 5100 block of West Point Loma Boulevard.
One of the suspects had his two children in tow when he sold drugs to an undercover detective, Robinson said. The children were taken to Hillcrest Receiving Home.
The thirteen suspects were booked into County Jail on suspicion of felony possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics for sale.
