A.J. Foyt was charged with simple assault after an incident in which the four-time Indianapolis 500 winner allegedly pushed a security guard at the Meadowlands, in New Jersey.
Foyt, 54, reportedly became involved in an argument with Myron Hackett of Orange, N.J., who is employed in the admissions department of the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority. Foyt allegedly attempted to walk through a vehicles-only entrance in order to get to his team truck, and the altercation ensued.
