Man Hit on Head During Possible Robbery Dies
An elderly San Diego man who was struck in the head Sunday, during what police say may have been a robbery attempt, died Tuesday, authorities said.
Louis Ladd, 77, of the 2500 block Commercial Street was pronounced dead at 2:10 p.m. at UC San Diego Medical Center, said Deputy Coroner George Dickason.
An autopsy was scheduled for today.
Ladd was struck during a struggle at his home Sunday, said police spokesman Bill Robinson.
Information on the incident was sketchy and police asked witnesses to call 235-TIPS.
