A Columbian native whose car struck and killed a retired police officer working as a movie set security guard in Koreatown was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in state prison.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan imposed the sentence on Antonio Harold Rosas, 24, who last month pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving charges.

The May 31 accident killed retired Los Angeles Police Officer Allan DeLapp, 60, of Torrance. Rosas hit DeLapp, who was on a motorcycle escorting a film crew through Koreatown.

The retired officer was dragged 200 feet by the car, which ran over him after striking a curb.
