As the Dodgers fade in the National League West, two of their divisional rivals--the San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros--take up the scrap for first place.

NBC carries the Giants-Astros game about 1 p.m. today as the second half of a TV doubleheader. In the first game starting at 10:15 a.m., the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs meet at Wrigley Field. Both games can be seen on Channels 4, 36 and 39.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers and Padres will be playing in San Diego, with third place in the NL West at stake. KTTV will televise their games from Jack Murphy Stadium tonight at 7 and Sunday at 1 p.m. on Channel 11.
