NISEI WEEK IN LITTLE TOKYO

The Japanese community in Southern California celebrates its heritage each year with a weeklong festival of Japanese history, culture and art in Little Tokyo. A parade at 4 p.m. Sunday will be the highlight of the week. The celebration dates to 1934 and honors the cultural heritage of the Nisei, who are second-generation Japanese-Americans.
