Terry Labonte drove to his first International Race of Champions victory, beating Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace to the finish line at Brooklyn, Mich.
Labonte started 11th in the 12-car field, but moved to the front by the eighth lap.
The 21 points for the victory, plus five bonus points for leading the most laps, gave Labonte the IROC points lead, 55-51, over Wallace with only next Saturday’s race at Watkins Glen, N.Y., remaining.
