LTV Corp.: The Dallas steel company said second-quarter profit was $30.3 million, down 75.5% from the 1988 period. Revenue totaled $1.66 billion, down 19.4%. The firm, which has been under bankruptcy protection for three years, blamed its earnings decline in part on discontinued steel and aircraft operations.
