Share

The Orange County Fire Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying some children who apparently started a brush fire at Featherly Regional Park on July 14.

The fire burned about 200 acres of brush from the park to Coal Canyon Road, officials said.

“An investigation by the Orange County Fire Department has determined that the fire . . . was started by children playing with fire,” Hank Raymond, the county’s fire information officer, said in a statement. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (714) 744-0514.

Officials were not immediately available to say what they will do once they know the children’s identities.
